dear sir.

28082009. meet my supervisor for the third time. i know he is busy person. i only can meet him once in two weeks. huh!. my logbook still empty no notes, no signatures, and its nothing. but, today i must meet him. ya mesti! and ask him about my proposal. he is coolest guy. haha..seroiusly. he wears aigner, sophisticated, soft spoken. ehem ehem.

hurm. he give me one more task.

the proposal.

next. week 7. i must submit my proposal.

refer to proposal guide (farzana yang bagi). it's seem like these.

PROJECT TITLE

1.1 INTRODUCTION

Provide an overview of the project and the specific problem to be solved.

1.2 Problem statement

Describes the problem to tackle eg.

This proposal describes an effort to produce…. The problem under investigation is categorised as ………in the field of………..

The fact that ……………This technique leads to a huge loss of information [1]. By having the process assisted by machine, it is a great hope that the existing process can be improved in many ways, such as improved speed, memory reliability, autonomous control and flexibility [2].

The investigations are of experimental type, where most of the activities are developing computer programs on the subject matter and tested. The programs, developed using Visual Basic 6, aim at demonstrating the utilisation of a stand-alone computerised system.

1.3 Objectives

The aim of the work is to investigate and to design …………..for……. In doing so, the bulk of the work can be summarized as follows (example only):

o to develop a prototype program capable of dealing with………. to suit local industry needs, and

o to investigate the capability of engineering/analytical methods in obtaining the optimized solution in improving existing methods.

2.0 Methodology

Describes the preferred methodology of work or the investigation technique. It discusses the software and hardware requirements, the method followed to develop and how to implement the project as smooth as possible. For instance, the experimental setup to develop the system. It describes the development of the prototype, the fundamental platform setting of the system, the installation process, algorithm design, the processes involved in programming the codes eg. MATLAB setup of artificial neural networks.

3.0 Resource planning

A related continuation from the design methodology, centred on block diagram(s) and the associated components of the project. To produce Gantt chart, selection of parts, WBS, etc.

4.0 Costing

Provides details of expected expenses/costs for the duration of the project in table format.

5.0 Conclusion

The last section contains conclusion. This section signifies the relevancy of the objectives towards the achievement of expected results, methodology, resources, expected completion.

final project saye.

sekarang sudah semester 7.

firstly. the important thing is my final year project. saye fikir beberapa project yang saye nak sangat buat.

1) mahu buat bug yang boleh gerak-gerak ke sana sini. dan pijak pun tak mati. that bug have sensor that can detect temperature, movement, air quality, and land condition.

2) detector. its small like chips. and can put to any items and controlled by handphone. i got this idea because im always forget where i put my jacket, shoes, watch and etc. so i can use this chips to find where my lost items.

Lastly, i choose the project that suggest from my supervisor. (TRACKING OBJECT USING WEBCAM). and this project more to software. saye hanya perlu beli webcam and lappy. i already have my own lappy. so need to buy webcam from microsoft. hahahaha....i got the idea. i dont know how to do it. everything not easy as we think.

my first task.

learned about digital image processing.

huh. its not easy as i thought. yes. but nothing impossible.

firstly, what i got from 'googling' about digital image processing.

+ Digital image processing is the use of computer algorithms to perform image processing on digital images. As a subfield of digital signal processing, digital image processing has many advantages over analog image processing, it allows a much wider range of algorithms to be applied to the input data, and can avoid problems such as the build-up of noise and signal distortion during processing.

+Digital cameras generally include dedicated digital image processing chips to convert the raw data from the image sensor into a color-corrected image in a standard image file format. Images from digital cameras often receive further processing to improve their quality, a distinct advantage digital cameras have over film cameras. The digital image processing is typically done by special software programs that can manipulate the images in many ways.
